His shows are action packed and his jokes are always hilarious and his undeniable talent has led to appearances on the likes of BBC 3 and Comedy Central.
Damian Clark burst into the Irish & UK comedy circuit in 2005 and within weeks was hailed ‘The Number 1 event to see’ and ‘Cream of the crop’ (InDublin Magazine). After several acclaimed TV performances in Australia plus two prestigious comedy awards under his belt, Damo moved to Ireland where teaming up with fellow comic Andrew Stanley, wrote and co-starred in RTE TV’s I Dare Ya (‘Critics’ Choice’ – The Irish Times, ‘A smash hit’ – The Sunday Mirror) which was the highest rating debut of an Irish TV comedy show to date.
Since then, Clark has written and performed for such shows as IFTA Nominated Best Entertainment Program – The Savage Eye, The Republic of Telly, The Apprentice: You’re Fired!and his appearance on Katherine Lynch’s Wonder Women was voted on TV3 as ‘one of the funniest moments on Irish TV in the past 50 years’.
Now Damo headlines clubs all over Ireland, the UK, Europe and is the founder & regular host of The Comedy Shed, north side Dublin’s leading alternative comedy club since it started in 2008.
In 2010 Damo played to sold out crowds in the Kilkenny Cat Laughs, Carlsberg Comedy Carnival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival (“This guy’s a diamond” – Inpress) and alongside Andrew Stanley hosted the Electric Picnic Comedy Tent for the second year running.
Alongside touring, Damian co-hosts the online weekly talk show SportsJOELive which is in the top 10 items trending in Ireland every Wednesday night.
Clark’s last five solo show runs at the Edinburgh Fringe completely sold out and his uplifting standup continues to tour clubs & festivals the world over.
