Alun Cochrane

Alun Cochrane is a no-nonsense comedian who specialises in funny nonsense and a master at observational comedy.

Much of his comedy begins simply as something he’s seen, heard or felt in his own life, such as in the street, or the kitchen, or anywhere and from that it blossoms into a highly amusing anecdote or a strange flight of fancy.

Alun has appeared on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow (BBC1), Mock The Week (BBC2) Dave’s One Night Stand, Never Mind The Buzzcocks (BBC2), Have I Got News For You (BBC1), and 8 Out Of 10 Cats (CH4). In addition to this, he’s helped out his comedy friends by having cameos in both BBC1’s Not Going Out (Tim Vine and Southport’s own, Lee Mack!) and BBC3 We Are Klang (Greg Davies from The Inbetweeners).

He’s also hotly in demand on the radio as the co-host of The Frank Skinner Show on Absolute Radio, for which he has received a 2012 Arqiva Award nomination and a Sony Award. Other radio credits include The Now Show, Just A Minute, Dilemma, Loose Ends, and Lee Mack And Friends.

“By the end of the show the audience literally can’t stop laughing” The Independent
