Angelos Epithemiou

Angelos Epithemiou the unwitting star of ‘Shooting Stars’ (BBC2), ‘Dave’s One Night Stand’ and cult favourite and this a very rare chance to see him in a comedy club near you. He’s shambolic, weird, wonderful and nothing is off the table when Epithemiou is in the building.

Angelos is gearing up for his massive gig at the O2 which has not been booked and is never likely to be, but he’s keeping the dream alive. Think Little Britain meets Vic and Bob and then lower your expectations and get on board! That’s a joke by the way – this act is like nothing you’ve ever seen before and is the opposite to traditional comedians, refreshing and unconventional he might not be to everybody’s taste but those that do like him absolutely love him

Angelos Epithemiou is the creation of critically-acclaimed performer, Dan Renton Skinner, who has starred in such blockbuster films as The Spy Who Dumped Me, High Rise, and Swallows and Amazons for BBC Films and such TV serial-classics as The Tracy Ullman Show, Friday Night Dinner, and The Wrong Mans.

He got his break in 2009, when he became a permanent team member on the revival of Shooting Stars, replacing Johnny Vegas on Ulrika Jonsson’s Team B, before becoming the scorer. Nominated for the breakthrough award and best sketch or character act at the 2010 Chortle awards. Originally the character was the owner of a burger van who wants to break into show business. He’s certainly achieved that and in 2012 he starred in his own Channel 4 series ‘The Angelos Epithemiou Show’ and this is a unique opportunity to see him locally outside of his national tour.
