Catherine Bohart

Catherine Bohart started performing stand-up in 2015 and since then has enjoyed a rapid rise through the ranks of UK and Irish comedy. In 2016, she was a finalist in both the BBC New Comedy Awards and Funny Women, drawing praise in the final of the former for having “a distinctive voice and a story you’d like to hear” (Chortle) and in the latter for being “pretty much the perfect comedy package” (Beyond The Joke). Catherine has just been named on the BBC’s New Talent Hotlist 2017 and was runner-up in the Irish Comedian of the Year Final 2017.

In 2016, she and fellow comic Cally Beaton performed their show Catcall  for a full run at the Edinburgh Fringe, enjoying packed houses and a series of stellar reviews across the month. She has gigged for the likes of The Stand, Komedia and Up The Creek.

As well as her work as a stand-up, Catherine is also a trained actor, having studied an MA in Acting for Screen at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Her burgeoning broadcasting career has already seen her write material for BBC Radio 4 institutions The Now Show, Newsjack and The News Quiz, be interviewed on Tim Arthur’s BBC Radio London show alongside Shazia Mizra and take part in The Paper Review with Penny Smith on talkRADIO. Catherine has recently contributed on Frankie Boyle’s New World Order.
