Gabriel Ebulue

Gabriel Ebulue has a unique perspective, described as a young comic with an old soul.

His set covers topics ranging from politics, his history with drugs, his obsession with music, race relations and everything in-between. Alongside his comedy career, he is also a music journalist, writing for the likes of Overblown and Stereogum. His Three Tracks podcast is required listening for all self-respecting music nerds.

In his first solo show, Gabriel broke down the trials and tribulations of having a unique taste in music. He’s a lifelong music obsessive with an eclectic taste which often confuses others; after all, how can you love Captain Beefheart, N.W.A and Morrissey without being called weird? The show explored people perceptions about how you shouldn’t be judged by what you put in your headphones.

His debut Solo hour Hip-Punk hit Edinburgh in 2016 to critical acclaim, and went on to tour various UK festivals.

Hailing from Peckham, Gabriel has been regaling audiences with tales of his life in his trademark laid-back style on the London comedy circuit since 2009.

He hosts (and is the creator of) his popular music-based podcast, The Three Tracks Podcast which features high profile guests. The strength of the show meant within a year of launching, it was made ‘new and noteworthy’ on iTunes, was a Guardian podcast of the week, and sold out two Live shows. It continues to grow in popularity, and this year live versions of the podcast have been selected to be a part of Green Man Festival, Machynlleth Comedy Festival and Latitude.
