Ricky Balshaw must be the only comedian who can say he’s represented his county at the Paralympics three times – London 2012, Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 and worked as a sports pundit for Channel 4. 

Born with cerebral palsy, he started riding as part of his physiotherapy at the age of 4. At the age of 14 he was invited to join the British Paralympic dressage team and is still the youngest person to be inducted to the senior team.

He’s also won awards as a comedian and appeared on BBC One and BBC Three for the BBC’s New Comedy Award competition
